The Difference
High-school cheer leading is less demanding, less time consuming, and less work altogether. I'm not saying it isn't time consuming and no work but i am saying that competitive cheer leading requires much more dedication and a love for the sport. Yes, in high-school cheer you might know the girls better and it might be another way to hang out with your friends but competitive cheer lets you meet people from other schools and other states, even other countries. Also, your competitive cheer team is like your family. You have a special bond with your team just like any other sport but it is different because you don't see most of these people outside of the cheer gym. The average competitive cheer team practices 3-5 times every week for about 2-6 hours. Most of which is hard work and practicing the routine but at the same time most of it is making friends, laughing, and just having a good time altogether. Most teams consider each other like their second family.
